Frequently asked questions
General
In many countries, no — not if the e-bike meets the legal e-bike category for that market. For example, in New Zealand, power-assisted cycles do not require registration or a driver licence; in Queensland, Australia, you do not need a licence, registration, or insurance for a legal e-bike; and in the UK, you do not need a licence or registration for an EAPC-compliant e-bike.
However, the rules vary by country, state, and bike specification. If an e-bike exceeds the local legal limits for power, speed, or classification, it may be treated differently and could require registration, licensing, or other approvals. We recommend checking your local laws before purchasing or riding.
Change-of-Mind Returns
We accept change-of-mind return requests within 14 days of delivery, provided the item:
is unused
has not been ridden
has not been assembled beyond basic inspection
is in original packaging
includes all accessories, charger, keys, manuals, tools, and parts
is returned in resalable condition
All change-of-mind returns must be approved by us before being sent back.
Please note:
return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law
the item must be returned safely and securely packaged
Opened, Assembled, or Ridden E-Bikes
Because e-bikes are substantial products and cannot be resold as new once materially used, opened, assembled, or ridden bikes are not automatically eligible for return.
A return for an opened, assembled, or test-ridden bike may only be accepted at our discretion and only if:
the bike remains in near-new condition
there is no visible damage, scratches, wear, or misuse
all original packaging, parts, accessories, and documentation are included
the bike passes inspection upon return
If approved, these returns may be subject to a restocking and/or refurbishment fee.
